The tale

Kael of Ashford entered the Sodden Nave and descended to floor 1. There he slew 4 brinelings for the run’s first blood. A drowned lantern flared and a small voice inside it posed a riddle about the tide. On floor 1 he spotted three traps, solved the rune door, and claimed the Brass Tide Wheel. He met a shoalspear’s heavy blow on his guard and struck back at once. On floor 2 he found a pack left by another warrior, spotted a trap, read a clue, and solved the altar mystery; the tide dials set to moon, ebb and flood drained a passage to the stairs. He faced the Cistern Keeper, took one blow on his guard and one that broke through, then brought the Cistern Keeper down and took the String of Moon Pearls. On floor 3 he discovered a secret wall and another pack, then met a troop of Brinelings before failing the rune door. He descended to floor 4, sprang a trap for 21 damage, and traded blows with the Reef Admiral; the admiral’s first strike broke his guard, but Kael of Ashford ended the fight and claimed the Mirror of Still Water. After 34 minutes below he turned back with 818 XP and reached level 13.
