The tale

Kael of Ashford descended into the Drowned Reliquary on floor 1. A pack of Brinelings skittered through the shallows ahead. He drew first blood against 2 brinelings. He spotted traps three times on that floor. Against a shoalspear he held his guard and punished the opening. On floor 2 a lost spirit posed its riddle. He spotted traps twice and found a secret. The rune door stayed shut. Against the Sluice Warden he held both heavy blows and punished the second. He slew the Sluice Warden and took its Tideworn Crosier. On floor 3 he spotted one trap and solved the rune door. Two traps caught him for 16 damage each. On floor 4 he took 21 damage from a missed trap. He found a fallen champion’s pack, then the altar locked and numbed his arms. Two more traps struck for 21 damage each. The Lanternjaw landed three heavy blows; his guard held once. At 21 health he drank a minor healing potion and later slew the Lanternjaw, claiming its String of Moon Pearls. After floor 4 Kael of Ashford turned back, having earned 781 XP in 31 minutes.
