The tale

Kael of Ashford descended into the Shrouded Crypt. On floor 1 he slew his first ghoul. He sprang a trap that dealt 5 damage. The rune door remained sealed. He spotted two traps. A ghoul’s heavy blow broke his guard. On floor 2 he descended again and sprang another trap that dealt 11 damage. He found the Standard of the Sleepless Guard and later a clue. He also found the Hourglass of Grey Sand. A fallen adventurer’s pack lay beside a snuffed torch. The Bone Warden’s heavy blow struck but his guard held. Kael of Ashford defeated the Bone Warden. On floor 3 he met two wandering packs of skeletons. He spotted three traps and solved the rune door. Another trap dealt 16 damage. On floor 4 he solved an altar and the slab behind it slid aside, opening a short way to the stairs. He faced the Candle Marshal, whose first heavy blow he blocked and whose second broke his guard. Kael of Ashford defeated the Candle Marshal and claimed the Lantern of Smoked Glass. Thirty minutes after entering, he turned back on floor 4 with 800 XP.
