The tale

Kael of Ashford descended into the Sunken Undercroft. On floor 1 the rune door stayed shut. He spotted traps twice. A fallen pack lay beside a snuffed torch, and another pack rested beneath a broken sword. Three skeletons fell to Kael of Ashford for the first blood of the run. Two more traps were spotted before a ghoul’s heavy blow met a held guard. He reached floor 2. Against a bone knight he held its heavy blow and struck back. He did the same with a second heavy blow from another bone knight and cut the first elite down. Heavy steps warned of a patrol. Another held blow and quick strike ended the second bone knight. The Iron Gatekeeper’s first heavy blow broke through, but the second was held and answered. The Iron Gatekeeper fell and Kael of Ashford claimed the Reliquary of the Silver Finch. Floor 3 followed. A fallen pack appeared beside a snuffed torch. An altar’s bells rang the old procession, the crypt sighed, and a slab slid open to the stairs. A bone knight’s heavy blow was held and answered, and the elite was slain. Floor 4 came next. A trap struck for 21 damage and a cave-in dropped 28 more. Against the Pale Captain two heavy blows were met; the guard held both times. The Pale Captain fell and Kael of Ashford took the Crown of Knotted Bone. After 25 minutes below he turned back on floor 4 with 560 XP.
