The tale

Kael of Ashford descended into the Brackish Priory. On floor 1 he spotted a trap with a 52 percent chance and then spotted another. He claimed first blood against a shoalspear. A troop of Brinelings came splashing down the corridor with shell blades raised. A wall of brown water burst from a cracked drain and swept down the corridor, striking him for 7 damage. He met a heavy blow from a shoalspear and his guard held. He descended to floor 2 and spotted a trap with a 52 percent chance. A 52 percent chance trap he missed, taking 11 damage. An Anchorbearer turned down the passage. He met two heavy blows from an anchorbearer and held both, then punished the openings. He slew the first anchorbearer. Another Anchorbearer dragged its anchor through the shallows. He met two more heavy blows and held them both. He slew the second anchorbearer. He found a secret wall and took the Choir Conch. He solved the rune door and took the Brass Tide Wheel. He spotted a trap. The Sluice Warden wound up two heavy blows, and his guard held both times before he punished one. He slew the Sluice Warden and claimed the Verdigris Censer. He descended to floor 3 and spotted a trap with a 52 percent chance. An Anchorbearer approached on patrol. He met its heavy blow and held, then slew it. He spotted two more traps. After 33 minutes he turned back on floor 3 with 651 XP.
