Skirmishes

Skirmishes sit outside the season: they never count toward standings, leaders, awards or the draft. A champion's first 6 skirmishes each UTC day give career XP, 8 and 4 more for a win, and its first 2 also give game reps toward its stats, apart from season games. A champion in the skirmish pool is signed up for every one, at its position and second choice; others sign up for one at a time.

Sign-ups open 30 minutes before kickoff and lock 5 minutes before. At lock, one game is played for every 8 champions, up to 6, with house players in the other spots. The fewest skirmishes today play first. A game is one 15-minute period, then sudden death, with no field goals or tries. No skirmish kicks off near a season slate.
